Self-introduction

I was born and raised in Hongkong, but always wanted to explore and see more aspects of the world. After graduating from college, I went to New York to continue my maser degree and ended up spending a decade in that city.

My first job was at Deloitte and then Goldman Sachs, both in the charming New York City. The 8-year experience in financial institutions has exposed me to many areas of traditional finance, including various designs of financial products. I could never be thankful enough of the knowledge learnt on Wall Street but I just never thought that those skills can ever be applied to a new asset class.

You never outgrow where you come from. After 10 years abroad, I decided to go back to my hometown. I never though of myself joining a completely different industry until I see the passion and persistence in CTH. The sparkles in the eye when someone talks about day-to-day work are not easily seen in a well-established industry but I just see them in every one’s eye around me in this company. I have been infected with this enthusiasm ever since I joined.

The three grand essentials of happiness are: something to do, someone to love, and something to hope for. In CTH, I am lucky enough to continue my interest in product design but on top of a new fascinating asset class, which we have not seen in hundreds of years. The abundant of love, trust and support I received here is beyond expectation. No one works in isolation but operate as a collective. We take as many views from as many people as possible to get to the best outcome. Diversity of thought and perspective is key. Most importantly, I believe in a world with more decentralization, where people have more freedom and flexibility in financial activities, contract executions and data exchanges etc. Through building the bridge between traditional financial market and decentralization world, I’m proud to do my part to help.

Life is always on the road. The pandemic has temporarily halted my journey of exploring the world but one day I’ll resume it. The diversity, creativity and energy every city brought me has been remarkable and become part of me. I wish I always have the courage to start a fresh journey, no matter how time passes by and how rough the journey will be.
